As a teacher, I’m always looking for ways to be inclusive. Have you noticed how few “punk kid girls” there are in graffiti? The most common are the sexually idealized women presumably influenced by comic books. (Likes this http://fav.me/d495ylf). I’m not criticizing that style but most urban girls I teach don’t have that vibe at all.
So, I drew this one.
Tellingly, when I submitted it to an popular art website, it was resoundingly rejected. If you are an artist, I encourage to expand diversity.
